Great spot to stop and charge car and grab food. There are electrify America hyper fast charging stations available in the lot. The food was great and while I wasn't hungry enough for the buffet it looked good. The bbq beef sandwich and onion rings were great and very big portions for the prices. Service was friendly and quick as well.

Sam's is always good service, hot and fresh food at a reasonable price. I love their chicken fried steak and salad bar. The desserts are always very fresh and tempting. We even sampled their gift shop and have been very pleased with their brumate coolers, but it appears on our last trip they are sold out.

Sam's Original Restaurant is the hidden gem every Texan wants to find! My friend Jeff recommended Sam's as we were driving back from a road trip to an A&M game. Little did I know I would have one of the best American buffets in Texas! The food was wonderfully made, delicious to the bone, and packed with flavor. The salad bar was freshly prepared; I loved how they also served fresh fruit to go along with it! The service was a prime example of Southern hospitality - every single waitress so kind and greeted us with a gentle demeanor. The desserts you were definitely the best part of the buffet. There was a variety of pies, peach cobbler, and ice cream. My personal favorite was the Coconut Crean Pie - it was astronomically delicious Sam's was a wonderful conclusion to our trip! I recommend everyone traveling along I-45 to try it at least once in their lifetimes!

This place is in the middle of nowhere and couldn’t get any closer to the freeway without having striped lines on it, but they were packed with customers. The speciality is the buffet. They had something for everyone. I opted out because it was too much temptation. The chicken sandwich I had was excellent. As were the fried okra and black eyed peas. Our server was helpful and kept our drinks topped off. She had warm bread and butter to our table before we even finished sitting down. The bread is fantastic. They also have a cute little gift shop. Definitely worth the stop.

If you’re looking for a spot to go while you charge your EV, this place is the perfect spot! We had very tasty chicken fried steak with sweet tea and many pies to choose from. The dining area is modest, but it’s usually vibrant because of the buzz of the people. Clean bathrooms and a gift shop to hang out in if you’re not looking to eat. Really kind staff, really great home cookin. And the chargers were great! 218 kWh. Can’t recommend this place enough!

This is one of those places that you must make a stop at, at least once if you are in Fairfield. We decided to do the breakfast buffet. They have plenty of fruit to start your meal with. The breakfast buffet consists of scrambled eggs, grits, breakfast potatoes, ham, bacon, sausage, chicken fried steak, pancakes, muffins and probably more that I didn't see. You don't leave hungry! They also have a store located as you enter the restaurant.
